2019 Montana 4-H Western Heritage Competition
Study Guide
This year’s test for the State 4-H Western Heritage Contest will consist mostly of questions on firearm safety and other 4-H Western Heritage rules, firearm and clothing related history from the curriculum, and a little history of the Three Forks area. The Three Forks, MT history questions will be drawn from the websites below. Don’t dwell on memorizing dates. Instead, look for people, places, groups, and concepts. A general idea of the timeframe in which an event took place is important, however. Chronological order is a vital part of history education.
